We're taking walks throughout Grenoble averaging about five miles a day, but mostly we're enjoying people watching, and after wearing our feet out, we head back to the apartment for something to eat and a rest.
We have access to a big screen television and an iBook G4 with a high speed internet connection so we can listen to NPR or watch CNBC, Aljazeera, or Skye News, because they're in English. Basically, we listen to some music and chillax! Ya, it's not easy being us.
After a six mile stroll along the river yesterday, we arrived at the apartment just before a storm broke. As you can see, it was a torrential rain storm. The poor woman across the street was drenched even though she had an umbrella. I think you can see the raindrops bouncing off the pavement.
Today we'll walk to Musee de l'Ancien Eveche, once the Bishop's home back in the day. The museum chronicles the ancient history of the area. Afterward, we'll catch a tram and meet Martin at the University where we'll then drive up to the village where he and Isabelle live. We're eager to see the house they built about six years ago, because it's in the mountains and overlooks the valley.
